Kangaroo Valley Olives is the essence of low food miles.

We operate sustainably, minimise our use of chemicals and package our products in recyclable glass jars and bottles. Our waste manufacture is almost nil. The olive pulp left after the pressing of our oil is used as compost. Olive seeds left over after the pressing and extraction of olive paste for our tapenades are also composted. Our whole olives do not have their skin broken nor their seeds removed, which we believe enhances the quality of our finished product.

First and foremost we care for our land.

We practise sustainable farming, and where possible crop rotation although not the olive groves! We are as chemical-free as free as possible and tread an organic pathway (although not certified). From land to tree to flower to olives – at every stage, we treat our land and our trees with respect and care, and they reward us with an abundance of premium quality whole olives. Our harvesting is all done by hand – each individual olive picked one at a time, with quality control at every stage of the process. Table olives are quickly placed in brine, and our olives are left to de-bitter naturally. We understand the value of time and do not rush nature. Once our olives are ready – we process and jar them and then make them available for retail (and wholesale) distribution.
