2015 promises to be a bumper year for olives here in Kangaroo Valley and we are already looking at new and exciting initiatives to foster our philosophy of grove to table - from the grower to you.
Santa came to Kangaroo Valley early this year on his mission to fill his sack with local produce and he thought our goodies would make excellent Christmas presents. Orders placed by Wednesday 17th December can be delivered pre Christmas - get in early.
Saturday 18th October saw a group of ladies (on a girls’ weekend away) visit Kangaroo Valley Olives for one of our “Grove, Processing and Tasting” Tours. Sun shining, trees in bud and lots of tasty treats to try.
Why not join us for a private tour booked directly at firstname.lastname@example.org, or with one of our fabulous local tour operators - Jacqueline Weiley of Foodscape Tours.
The past month has seen post harvest pruning attended to - our trees are now ready to start the cycle of growth again. Here in Kangaroo Valley, our flowering starts around September/October, so by pruning at this time, our trees will have the chance to rest over the cooler winter months. This will ensure that when flowering starts, the trees are ready - with proper care and attention, we hope 2015’s harvest will be a bumper one.
